Description
This course examines the role of the principal as the ethical leader of the school. Candidates will explore legal and ethical topics that affect daily practices within the school, including risk assessment and crisis management, tort law and liability, students’ and teachers’ rights, and special education law. Candidates will locate sources to inform them about updates to federal and state educational law, as well as district and local policies. Prerequisite: None.
